MY CAT STORY

Nella was born on 1 March 2016, and she came into our family as a tiny kitten when I received her for my 5th birthday. From that moment, she became a very special part of my childhood and our family. Nella didn’t grow up alone. She grew up alongside Olly, a male cat belonging to our housemate and friend Katka. They spent their younger years together, sharing the same home as Nella grew from a little kitten into an adult cat. Over the years, Nella became a wonderful mum. During her life she has raised perhaps around 100 kittens, caring for generation after generation of little ones. So many kittens that started their lives with Nella have since gone on to become part of other families. But in 2026, when Nella was already ten years old, something happened that nearly took her away from us. During one of her deliveries, Nella developed serious complications. Her kittens became stuck during labour and she was unable to deliver them normally. Her condition became dangerous very quickly, and we could have lost her. Thankfully, she received urgent veterinary care in time. The quick help of the vet saved Nella’s life. Today, Nella is still here with us. ❤️ After everything she went through, she can no longer have kittens, but that doesn't change her place in our family. Her days of being a mum may be over, but after more than ten years together, she is much more than a breeding cat. She is Nella — the little kitten who arrived as a 5th birthday present, grew up alongside Olly, became a mum to so many kittens, survived a life-threatening delivery, and remains a permanent and much-loved member of our family.

Holly was born on 15 July 2024, together with her sister Lexi and their four other siblings. Sadly, when the kittens were only three weeks old, they lost their mum. From that moment, our family stepped in to care for them, bottle-feeding them and giving them all the love and attention they needed to grow. Holly and Lexi were lucky to stay together. From tiny kittens needing round-the-clock care, they grew up side by side and have remained very close ever since. Their difficult start in life created a special bond between them, and today they still share the same loving family home. As they grew older, Holly and Lexi began sharing another very special experience — motherhood. They often have their litters around the same time and raise their kittens together. Holly helps care for Lexi's kittens, while Lexi helps with Holly's, making all the little ones feel like part of one big family. Watching Holly and Lexi together with their kittens is something truly special. The two sisters who once needed our help to survive are now caring for their own little families and helping each other along the way. Holly is much more than a pet to us — she is a very special part of our family and of the story that began with six tiny kittens back in July 2024. 🐾❤️

Lexi grew up alongside our daughter Natty, who was seven years old at the time. They quickly formed a very special bond and have been inseparable ever since. Natty was there as Lexi grew from a tiny kitten into the beautiful cat she is today. Lexi is also lucky to still share her home with her sister Holly. The two sisters have remained very close as they have grown up together. Now they share another special part of their lives. Lexi and Holly often have their litters around the same time, and they raise their kittens together. They help care for each other's little ones, creating one big kitten family. Watching the two sisters share the responsibility of caring for their kittens is something very special. Lexi is much more than a pet to us – she is part of our family, and Natty is her very best friend. They have grown up together, sharing cuddles, playtime and many wonderful moments. 🐾❤️
